			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>May has been an interesting month for home sales.  According to the <a href="http://www.tricityrealtors.com/housingstats.html">Tri-City Association of Realtors</a> the number of homes sold and under contract remain only slightly below the record level set in February of this year.  What is interesting is that the average sale price of homes dropped $12,500 this month to $165,800 from $178,300 last month and a record $185,500 back in September 2005.</p>

<p>It would be interesting to hear any explanations of the statistics.  Are average prices actually going down or are there just fewer McMansions being sold?</p>
